I'm in the process of replacing the bearings on my fan's axle. I noticed that that they don't spin freely. I already installed one on the pulley side and the fan doesn't seem to move. I have not installed the bearing for the other side, but it seems unbudgeable even before I install it. I guess it is possible I damaged the first one during installation somehow, but not the uninstalled second one.

Is there a trick to installation?
