hello

my 12y/o GE potscrubber 850 was working perfectly fine. i removed it to add reenforcments for the granite and inspect cabinets.... i connected it back up, water is on, it doesn't add water. sounds like pump is working, motor is turning, but no water, just a tiny amount in the bottom. i inspected what connectoins i could see without pulling it back out. white wire to white wire, red wire on machine to black wire in BX, green wire was not connected, is this correct ? tia

Dose it have a copper tube to feed water? You may have kinked it putting dishwasher back in.

Or the shut off valve under the sink got shut off hard, and the rubber washer popped off it's barbed end (these types of valves often do not have a screw holding on the washer) and lodged in the valve's outlet hole. You'd have to turn off house water, backdrain the water some, them take valve apart. Or, disconnect the dishwasher line from the shutoff valve under the sink, and hook up a temporary supply line so you can run it in a pail and see.

copper = yes. kind = no.

yes, the valve was leaking a little. so i had to keep tightening it, i had to put some real force into it. i will check that. thanx

And that's not just some theory of mine either. Quite the common problem with these types of shut off valves. In my time I have had to fish out quite a few washers or washers and screws from inside valves and pipes, or blast them back out with house water pressure.

its working now. i disconnected the line at the valve, plenty of water. i reconnected it, and unplugged/replugged the electrical connector at the valve and tried it and it started working. i have no idea what made it start working (i hate when that happens, and it happens a lot to me). anyway, its working, so the wife is tons happy. thanx :)
