My sister has a garden fountain made to hang on a wall. On the back I see two holes and inside each hole I see a metal bar that looks like it was cast right in the piece. I’m sure the bars are there to hang the piece. How do you do it? I’ve fastened things to brick walls before. That’s not a problem. But I’m not sure how to hang this piece. I think it weighs 40-50 lbs. Didn’t weigh it yet.
I was wondering if a bracket of some kind was missing? Or are you supposed to use some kind of heavy duty “hook bolts” and put those in the wall and then hang the piece on the bolts? Seems like maybe that’s the intention.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Get some heavy duty wall ties, red heads are avaible at Lowe's
Drill the holes with a hammer drill and screw them in and hang the fountain.

Thanks Casemaker-
I didn’t even know about wall ties. Couldn’t find them on the web sites: lowes.com or homedepot.com, but I pass both stores all the time. I’ll stop at Lowe’s. But I found wall ties however on other sites and I see what you mean. Looks like a very good solution.
But do I have to use a hammer drill? Or could I just use a regular drill with a masonry bit or would that just be way too hard?

You can use a regular drill but a hammer drill makes it sooo much easier.............Lots of folks use tapcons; I hate them! They have the weakest heads and stems. If they don't strip out on the phillips slots they break when they bite. The hex heads are better, just not much.
