I have an old asphalt driveway that I am trying to extend the life of it, inexpensively.

My question is: will concrete repair on the asphalt driveway cause any issues later when I have no choice but to repave the driveway with asphalt? Will the asphalt stick to the concrete patch I lay down?

The 'driveway patch' products that I used for holes from my local hardware are USELESS, they do not harden, even after six weeks. I even scooped it back up in the buckets after six weeks and returned the stupid stuff. But I digress...

As a more reliable patch, I want to patch the asphalt driveway problem sections with concrete. I do not care about the color problem at this point, I want a good solid replacement of the presently crumbling area.

I have already done such a repair to one area, shown here: http://www.taketimeyoga.com/driveway.htm

It holds up great, I want to do a similar repair to another spot on the driveway.
