Our GE washer is wrinkling, tangling and twisting our clothes. The agitator has some play in it, but how much is too much, and would that cause the issues that I mentioned.

Please give model # so we can see what machine you have. First check to see if drain hose is nit to far down drain. Should be only 4 or 5 inches in drain (not likely your problem but check) Next does it seem to spin to fast? Needs brake and transmission. Dosi your agitator seem to slip on the shaft? let us know what's happening
