Hi all,

I live in Southern NJ and bought the stuff to seal my driveway in the middle of the summer. Due to picnics, family stuff and rainy weather I hadn't had a chance to get out there is seal the driveway.

I was curious if there a best time of year. Fall will be here in no time and I didn't want to waste my time sealing the driveway only for it to get worn and weathered thru the winters months and look like crap in the spring. Does it really matter? I know obviously you want to do in in the warmer months in the northern climate.

Thanks for the feedback. June

There is only so much life to asphalt sealer no matter when you do it. Now is as good as time as any.

Hopefully you can pick a day where no rain is forecast for the next day or so. If your asphalt needs the sealer now - apply it. If it wears away and needs recoating in the spring - re do it! The sealer helps to protect the asphalt, if you wait, it doesn't protect anything while it's in the bucket.
