I have a Kenmore side by side refrigerator with water and ice in the door purchased in 2002. I change the filter cartridges as soon as the indicator light says to.
That being said I am having problems with the water. When the water comes out of the nozzle in the door it is no longer a round stream. It is kind of a flattened spray and sometimes squirts and sprays at odd angles. It almost seems as if there is an obstruction of some kind in the water nozzle. It also might be mineral build up as we have some very hard water in our area.
Any ideas how to correct this? Thanks.

Might try removing any build up with a small tool or drill bit, of the proper size, not to exceed the I. D. of the tube.

I have a Whirlpool, which I believe is possibly similar to the Kenmore.
A while ago, I had a problem with low or zero water output from it. My problem turned out to be that the water outlet tip was icing over. Check the outlet tip for icing.

Yes it is exactly the same as a Frigidare. Just a name change for good old Sears. When you say the water outlet tip do you mean the part on the outside where the water exits to your glass? I would have never thought it could ice up on the outside of rhe box.
