Hello All,
Looking for insight on this as I'm an electrical novice, to say the least.
Anyway, my ceiling light just started flickering. Then after a while, the flickering would quit but the light when off. There was a little bit of buzzing along with the flickering.
When it began, I just tapped on the glass fixture cover a couple of times and sometimes it would cause the light to go back on only to go back to out later. The cylinder that the bulb screws into seems a little lose.
I currently have the light switch turned off for now. I don't know if it is related, but I came home today and noticed that electric clock was blinking - power interuption at sometime during the day but no storms that I know of.
The light is part of ceiling fan which still works fine.
I'm thinking that theres a wire loose on the cylinder that the bulb goes into.
Thoughts....Don't laugh...I'm electrical phobic and trying to figure out how to fix it having the cicuit breaker turned and no lights to see what I'm doing.

You're probably wise to not use the light until this is resolved. Buzzing is often bad. First, I would try simply replacing the bulbs. If that doesn't resolve it, you might want to check to see if your fan manufacturer makes a replacement light kit.
