I recently moved into my condo and looks like i have some custom blinds from blinds to go. It appears that one of the cords has snapped has anyone ever tried putting this(shoelace style) cord back up, just wondering if ill have to take the whole thing down or i can threat this through somehow. Any help would be apprieciated.

every shade is different.. are there any markings that tell us what kind this is or do you have a camera you could take a pic?

those strings are mended together with nothing more than heat..

Hold the tips of the broken strings side by side and melt them with a lighter.. once they start to melt make em kiss and hold em steady for 10 seconds till it cools..

before it cools completely, smooth it out with your fingers so there is no lumps..

should be good as new

not entire sure how to put it back up after that? should i take the whole blind down? its really awkward to get at, and not really sure how to thread the string through
