Hey everyone. I just recenly purchased a ademco 6270 keypad and a vista-20 panel. I set zone 1 as the entry door but i try to change the setting of the contacts, but it will not give it to me as an option. If i set it to zone 2, i works. Also, i tried to change the amout of time on the entry but it only accepts 34? Any hints?

???? I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but I'll give it a shot.

If this is a hardwired zone, then the zone type is set in *56 programming. There are no other "settings of the contacts" involved. If this is a wireless device, you cannot set it for zone 1-8.

For the exit delay you are supposed to enter *34 followed by the number of seconds delay you want (30 second delay would be *34 30

Yes, in the *56 programing, zone 1 can not be changed? IE. NO or NC or EOL? I would like to use zone 1 as my front door with a 30 second delay with NC contacts. I am not using any wireless as of yet.

ZONE 1 must be EOL. You can still use your NC contact, but you will need a 2k resistor in series on the circuit. The entry delay is programmed in the entry delay field.
