I purchased some universal fitting faucet handles for my son's bathroom that look like levers instead of knobs. These are suppossed to open the valve when they are pushed towards the sink basin as oppossed to the knob type that open the valve when turned counter-clockwise. So the cold (RHS) valve needs to be changed so that it opens when turned clockwise. I took this question to the big orange store and they were clueless. They told me I needed to change out the valve stem but they couldn't specify the type of valve stem I needed to get. Any help on this?

Would you happen to know what kind of valve you have there? I take it this faucet is on a lavatory.
