Motorcycles, Snowmobiles, Go-Carts, ATV's and Golf Carts - Deisel Mule

I have a 2006 Kawasaki 3010 Deisel Mule.
When I coast down a hill, somewhere on the way down the belt drive re-engages and the engine is at idle. This causes an abrupt stop with the engine revving up real high.
I had the drive belt changed and it made no difference.
Anyone have an idea?

I don't want to get a wild goose chase but I am thinking the spring pack on the varibale speed pully is sticky or not sliding properly.

Sometime a dirt or something can get the varibale speed pully out of wack.

Hang on someone may have a trick or two with it but for myself i will suggest to check the spring groove to see if any unuseal marks on them.

I will talk to one of my freind at one of the manufactering plant { a well knowen lawn mower company } maybe they know a trick or two.

I think it is the forward motion and the speed at which you are declining that is making the clutch pack hook up which is what it is suppose to do. try descending at a slower rate of speed and see if it does it. If not you will have your answer.
