I have a GE Profile Dishwaster (GDS4030) that is eight or so years old. A few days ago, I started a "Rinse & Hold" operation, but then changed my mind and hit "Start/Reset". After a minute or so, the cycle stopped. But ever since then, both the "Rinse & Hold" and the "Hi Temp Rinse" buttons don't work -- no beep, no light. The fact that both rinse-related buttons are affected makes me think it's some kind of software problem rather than just that the buttons are broken -- as if the dishwasher somehow thinks that that original "rinse & hold" cycle never completed.

I've tried disconnecting the power to the unit for several hours in the hopes it would reset itself somehow, but no luck. The regular wash cycle works fine -- the panel just won't respond to either of the rinse-related buttons. I just hate wasting a full wash cycle when all I need is a rinse.

Does anyone know if there is some other way to do some kind of a reset on the panel? (Or has anyone seen something like this before -- do I need a new control panel?)
