Mercury outboard motor. Serial No. 3728770
Stickers on motor has Model 60 and 6 Hp on top and bottom crowl. I have been told that the motor is a 7.5 hp motor and someone put a sticker kit on it and a restricter plate behind the carborater to. The Serial No. does not match a 6 HP motor.
Can anyone tell me the year and HP for this engine? Is it true they sold a kit to reduce the HP of a 7.5 HP. engine? Why?
Just bought the motor at an estate auction and having trouble ordering parts!
