I own a Whrilpool Thin Twin and this is the 4th time this unit is giving me problem.
Problem i am having now is that the dryer wont start. I think the little metal pin on upper left corner that tells the dryer door is closed is broken. There is no tension and I do not hear any "click" sound when I press it.
I would appreciate any help I can get on how to replace this. Thank you!

See that you have a laundry center, Doesn't start? Dose it do anything? Check breakers first turn them on and off a couple of times, Sometimes they can stick off. here is a link to your machine

UNPLUG MACHINE FIRST
look at part 50 thermo limiter it is a fuse, MAKE SURE IT HAS NOT OPENED, you ARE HAVING SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH MACHINE i BET THAT IT TAKES MORE THAN 1 CYCLE TO DRY CLOTHES, sry about caps. If it dose clean vent to outside, will probably will fix the problems. keep us posted or if you need any more help.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I will give it a go. But I somehow think that there is something wrong with the metal tab that tells the machine that door is closed. That tab used used to have a tension but now it is totally loose. In any case, I am clueless when it comes to these so I will try as you said. Once again, thanks so much for your help.

UN-like a refrigerator door switch, where you can pull them straight out of the refrigerator, wires and all, to replace the switch - you have to remove the front panel of the dryer to be able to replace these switches, and to hook up the 2 or 3 wires to them. It is obvious how to do it if the panel is off.
