I've just bought a used (installed in 04) Mach 2030s with prefilter. We installed it today and it appears to be hooked up, our water still works, etc but I didn't get that telltale slippery skin that I'm sensitive to from soft water.

I asked my dad and he said "did you do the manual regen?" and so I went out to make that happen (my dh didn't see instructions in the installation manual, so he didn't know to do it), and when I did the "push down and turn" on the gear thing to advance the indicator dot, the dot is not moving.

I believe the gear is supposed to move? There looks to be a plastic teethed disc and it should be moving when I push the screw and turn, no?

It's not moving.

Any ideas?

never mind! I seem to have confused "clockwise" with "counterclockwise".

All seems to be well now. Does anyone know where I can procure a replacement for the iron prefilter?
