Hey All - I have an older York acentral air conditioning system. It has been working good until this last week. For some reason it began to flip the circuit breaker. The sytem seem to cool when it is on, but in about 5 minutes the system will shut down because it would cause the circuit breaker the stop (The main system in the basement will continue to run, but the fan unit on the outside will stop and you will hear an electrical winning noise). Currently, I have two dedicated circuit breakers for the air conditioner. If anyone has an answer to this or can help I would greatly appreciaite it.:wall: :wall: Please let me know

Something, probably the compressor over amping and poping breaker.

Could also be loose wires at contactor or compressor making and breaking contact.

How are you with turning of power and turning a screw driver?
