I'd like to know if at night, I can activate my motion sensor so that if my toddlers would get up and walk into our family room, the chimes would go off on the keypad installed in our master bedroom.

It's not a monitored system, we are not using the alarm that way currently. There is no siren hooked up or any other speaker other than what beeps/chimes from the keypad.

if this is possible? How do I activate it and deactivate it? I don't want it going off during the day as we are all out in the family room all the time.

Thanks for the help.

If you are not monitored and don't have a siren hooked up, your best bet is to program that motion as a type 25. It will chime every time there is activity as well as annunciate the sensor name if you have the voice module. If you don't have the voice module, you'll still get beeps out of the keypad. During the day, just bypass this motion detector until bedtime.

If it is a wireless motion, keep in mind the 3 minute lock out time....( I sense a question coming here!)

I believe mine is wired, but i'm not 100% sure. I'll see what I can do once I get my extra pannel set up. The home builder and installer of the alarm left me a users guide but no other info and they don't have all the sensors working. A couple are even missing the magnetic piece. So I've got to get them back out here to get it finished correctly.

I'll see what I can find once I get the new keypad on, hopefully tomorrow. This is all new to me. I've never used an alarm before and don't know how to use this at all.
