Hi
the 80 hp mercury I have is not taking off when i go to throttle up. it idles fine goes into gear and will stay running at idle speed but once I give it the gas it shuts off. I have replaced the stator, all four coils, the electrical box... pretty much all the electrical I can think of. I have also cleaned the carbs with no luck. :wall: :wall: I am truely at my witts end. any help would be greatly appreciated

I would check compression at this point. Also If you haven't replaced spark plugs I would do it, they may look good but I have chased many problems just to find out it was a bad plug.
