I'm installing a GE Simon XT, had everything installed then noticed that I forgot to thread the power cable through the back of the panel. I pulled the power lines out and accidentally shorted the transformer :wall:

Fortunately, I bought a second system for another home and used that transformer to get the system back up and running, without having to reprogram everything.

However, when checking status I get a 'system tampered' message, but with no indication as to what element has been tampered with. I ran a test of all sensors and still receive the system tampered message.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Doug

Cover of the panel is not closed properly...

doh! You're right, once I mounted the system the tampered message went away.

Thanks.
