I bought a set of low voltage landscape lights with a photo cell and the cell went out. The transformer has two lines coming out, one to the lights and one for the cell. I cut the old cell off and now connect and disconnect the bare wires turn the lights on and off. This is a 120/12v system and the only photo cell that I could find was a 120v. Will this work? How? I have 22g wires for my system.

A 120 volt photocell will not work for you unless you connect it on the line side (120 volt feed) of the transformer.
HD should have the 12 volt photocell in with their landscape lighting.

HD does have a 12v cell but my wire is 22g and the wire on the replacement cell is like a 8g. Also it has three wires. i'm not sure how to connect it with three wires, and I don't know if the larger wire will cause a problem.
