I cancelled monitoring on old DSC PC 1555 and replaced the panel with a new DSC PC1832. Original system was installed in 1999 by RA, I wanted to replace it and start fresh. I labeled and moved all the wires to the new board the same way the old board was wired. Now my smoke detectors are not triggering anything, before all of them were monitored. Everything else works the same. PGMs are not used, all zones are used for known sensors. I am not sure how the smoke detectors were connected to the panel, all I know is they were monitored, one time the smoke alarm went off and the fire department showed up. Please help..:wall:
I noticed when I removed the old panel, RA (Ranger American, Houston) left six unused 4/2 cables, one 22AWG red and 5 grey 24AWG grey. I traced one grey to the Attic, I suspect another to be for motion sensor in the living room, but I have no idea where the others go?? any ideas?

The red wire is probally for the smokes. It is possible that the previous fire dispatch was a maual alarm from the keypad. Take down one of the smoke detectors and let us know what the label says and type/number of wires.
