I have subject washer model LXR7133JQ0 which I've had for approximately 8 to 10 years. The spin cycle is not working but the water drains. When in the spin cycle there is lot of "noise" coming from the bottom of the tub. The agitator cycle works but it is real noisy too.

I have an old Readers Digest fix it yourself manual that directed me to check the spin and agitate solenoids near the tub but I did not see any solenoids at this location. I was trying to open the control panel on top to see if the solenoids were located there but I was having a hard time getting this panel open.

Because of the noise that I'm getting during the agitator and spin cycle does this problem point to the transmission and not any solenoids ??

Thanks in advance.

You may not find any black rubber under the machine they talk about the newer machines break instead of wearing out the rubber part.
