Hi. I had a plumber install a new enclosed shower in my guest room last year. It has just come to my attention that the shower handle does not turn all the way to the left so the water is not getting hot. I called the plumber and he said it was just a quick adjustment but after numerous calls, I can not manage to get him to show up. So I was thinking that maybe it is minor enough that I can make the adjust myself. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank!

Most newer tub/shower valves have a anti scald device so you can set the faucet at a maximum temperature. As plumbers we are only allowed to set them at the max of 120*. Maybe that is why the plumber does not respond. He does not want to be liable if someone were to get scalded.
Do you know what brand and model faucet you have.
If you do you can go to there web site to get specific directions on how to reset the max. temp for your faucet.
Usually, you need to remove the handle and then you will see some kind of gear mechanism. You will need to pull it out and rotate it some, then try the faucet. If not where you want it, try again.
