Hi,
I want to stain my dining and living area. In the living room there was carpet which was removed, but there is still some glue (I guess to glue the padding) and also looks like paint stains from the walls.
In the dining room I removed vinyl. There was still really sticky adhesive left over and some came up with GOO GONE. I want to stain the floors, but am trying to find out the best way to smooth it out. I also have a few small pieces that came up, from removing the nails for the carpet and want to know what I can use to fill them.
I was thinking to get a buffer; I assume I can put some kind of sanding grit on a buffer. I am a little worried about dust from the adhesive or from the concrete slab can do damage. If there is a better way please let me know, and if this is the way to go, any advice would be appreciated. I don't see a section for staining slab, so if any one know of a topic please let me know. Thanks.
