I am re-building my raised deck - I need to know the maximum spacing requirements for balusters on the rails. The deck is about 5' above grade.
Thanks in advance

I believe it's 4 or 4 1/2" and the railing height is 3'

Maximum spacing is 4 inches. I use a short piece of 2x4, which gives 3 1/2 inches and looks nice. Sometimes a slight variation not exceeding 4 inches will make the spacing come out even at the end. Or begin in the center and work toward the ends. Good luck with your project. I am using U.S. specs.
