I'm new to the forum. I've moved into a new home in Florida. All of the ceiling lights were pre-wired for fans ans I've successfully installed all of the indoor fans. The patio has 2 ceiling lights controlled by a single switch. My wife purchased 2 Hampton Bay Veranda Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fans with Remote Control. The "Remote Control" in the package is controlled by a wall transmitter wired to a receiver that is placed in the mounting bracket.
I removed the first ceiling light and saw what I expected and what the instruction book described: a black wire, a white wire and a green wire. I wired according to the instructions and installed the wall transmitter in place of the existing switch. The wall transmitter worked the new fan and light as expected and the remaining original ceiling light also worked off of the On/Off switch on the wall transmitter.
I removed the second ceiling light and what I found did not surprise me but it made me wonder what to do. The second light has 2 black wires tied together, 2 white wires tied together and 2 green wires tied together.
My question is: do I still install the second receiver in the second fan, wired as the instructions indicate? If not, how do I wire the second fan (blue for the light, black for the fan, white and green) to the tied wires (black, white and green)?
Thanks

Treat each pair of wires exactly the same as you treated the single wires in the other fan. So treat the two blacks as if they were one black (keeping them together of course). Do the same for the whites and greens. So each wire nut will have three wires, the two that are already there plus the input wire from the remote receiver. The output wires from the remote receiver attach to the fan in the standard way.
