Argh! several of the carriers on the traverse rod for my pinch pleat curtains are broken. As a result, several of the hooks attached to the curtains cannot be connected to the traverse rod. Can anyone tell me how to repair the broken carriers?
I'd rather not replace the traverse rod, as it is 16 feet long and probably an expensive hideous nightmare to replace.
Thanks!

Check your local ma and pa hardware store or lowes for replacement "carriers" for traverse rods.. Ace hardware always has them.
if you look about 4 inches from each end, behind the track, you will see either a lever or a simple "spring" that needs to be depressed or or opened.. This will allow you to slide out your old carriers and replace with new..
Do yourself a favor and replace all of them.
the mechanism to release the carriers is easy to find.. its what stops your carriers from going any further towards the ends
