It is 4 years old, US Craftmaster, Johnson City TN
It is in our summer cottage and is drained annually.
The sound of running water is continuous from the pipe going to the heater.
NO other water running in house (toilets etc).
NO water on the floor.
NO mention in the manual about the noise, though other noises are mentioned.
Suggestions appreciated.

Do you still hear it if you shut the main valve at the water meter?
If yes, could there be a leak underground before it enters the house and you are just hearing it?
If not, where does the pressure relief pipe terminate?

Did you shut off the toilets? Sometimes they can be leaking by without you even knowing about it.
Also if there are any misc. valves in the basement, try turning them off one at a time to try to narrow down the search.

Thanx for input.
It is a leak in the water line outside; galvanized pipe 28 yrs old so will replace.
Water company says losing about 1/2 gal per hour.

I had a feeling that was the problem. A 1/2 gallon per hour can turn into some big money.
