I am a DYIer for sure. I am considering refinishing my cabinets and came up with an idea. They are old but in okay shape. They have an inset piece with about a 3 inch border. I am in love with the laminate bamboo flooring and came up with the idea of using it for the inset and painting the border. I have no idea if this is feasible or not. Any ideas on it??? Thanks so much

by inset, do you mean the panel? and by border do you mean the rails and styles?

how do you plan on removing the existing panel? it can be rather difficult to not damage the rails and styles.

I do mean the panels but I got a sample of the laminate and I now know it just won´t work. Thanks for your reply though.
