I have a wooden "Captains Chair", as part of a matching set to our dining set. The chair was cracked in the back leg, straight from the delivery truck. We neglected to take it back (mostly since it sat in our garage for 6 months before we were ready to use it)....
Anyway. I pleaded my case to the furniture store and he took pity on me (probably since we just bought a $300 buffet..). He sent me a new back for the chair (apparently, they are screwed together). Well, I got the new back and it looked simple enough to replace, then I look a the chair... Everything is glued and screwed. They also have gusset blocks that mount the seat frame to the legs and all that is glued. I can not think of anyway to get this apart without practically destryoying it. Any ideas out there?

Chairs can be tricky - without seeing what you've got it's hard to give applicable advice.
