Hello. I framed a 10'x15' backyard shed on a slab with 2x4's. The walls are 8' high. The help I had is no longer available. I was planning on a metal, gable roof and I would like to have safe attic space for storage. Code allows the peak to be 15', and I haven't sat down yet to determine the pitch. My question: if I buy 10' trusses, can I use the joists for the attic floor?
Another question: when is it better to use a ridge beam (or ridge pole?) instead of purchasing trusses from the big box store?
Thanks, SDP in Wisconsin
