I am hanging a vanity mirror/medicine cabinet over my bathroom vanity. Is there a standard height I should be hanging the mirror? The depth of the mirror is approx. 6 inches so i want to be careful not to hang it too low or too high...

I should be where it best serves your needs, there are no rules. Some of us are over 6', some barely 5', speaking of adults. Kids need them even lower. Put it where it works best for the people that usually use it.
