So I stained my outdoor table on Friday using Olympic semi transparent stain and then on Satuday I gave the top part a second coat. Today the table still feels a bit sticky ontop and certain areas of the bottom where only one coat was applied. It did spend all day yesterday in the sunlight and today it will be under covered porch due to rain. Living in SFLA, humidity is a bit high, but never had this happen. Will it eventually dry or does this mean something else? I did sand the table down before applying the stain using first 100 grit paper and then 220. Any help or info appreciated. Thanks

As long as you mixed the stain well before application it should dry ok. Humidity will slow down drying times - not that it ever gets humid in fla
I assume this was an oil base stain.

Yes it is oil based and you are correct. Finally this evening I am seeing it not as sticky. Humidity here in SFLA, never... :) Thanks again
