I need to figure out how to repair a broken seal, I'm assuming, in one of the hydraulic shafts on my trim. It's leaking fluid from this area and I figure there is a seal broken that's causing this. The problem is, I have no idea how to do this. I know the motor has to come off, I need help beyond that--even as much as how to put the oil back in properly once I have it fixed.

In order to get the ram out of the cylinder most of the ones I have looked at you have to use a spanner wrench to take the cap off then the ram comes out. In order to do this you need to support the motor and take the pin out of the ram. there is a small pin in a vertical relation to the horizontal ram pin holding it in. After insalling the seal I run the ram out as far as it will go adding fluid untill the ram will fully extend the fluid should be checked with the ram extended. Then reinstall ram on motor. Be carefull when working under the motor.
