Kind of a newbie question.

I want to remove my mini blinds for a good cleaning but having
trouble removing them. They seem to be held by two metal strips, one on each side. From the front it looks like you need to bend it forward and slide it out, but it won't budge by hand. Should I use force (screwdriver) to do it? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most metal brackets are hinged at the top and lock at the bottom. Others snap on and lock on top & bottom. Use a screw driver to help pry them open.

if it looks like it should swing open and it doesn't.. they may be the kind you need to grab the door/face and nudge towards the center of the shade before they will swing open..

this is a lock to make sure they dont open up on their own

if this doesnt work then gently try a screwdriver to make sure you dont ruin em

any sort of channels near the hinges that would suggest this is the case?

Yes, it does look like it holds the channel tight.

Thanks all.
