I have heard so many different versions of the Best Way to Remove Wallpaper....so far none of them have worked very well.

The latest, fill a spray bottle with fabric softener and water (equal parts), score the wallpaper and spray, sounds like a good plan....I'm looking for anyone who has successfully tried this method or anyone who has fail proof guidance on this subject.

IMO water and elbow grease are the 2 main ingredients for removing wallpaper! I've tried a half a dozen or so "recipes" for removing wallpaper and I'm not convinced any of them help.

I've stripped a few that came off so easy that if it wasn't for the paper being strectched out of shape - it could be rehung elsewhere :D...... and then there's the paper we all remember and hate that almost takes dynamite to remove. Most are somewhere in between.

Go ahead and try it but IMHO water and elbow grease [along with scoring the paper] is key, heavy on the elbow grease.

I know this will sound ignorant, but what exactly is IMO or IMHO water?

Thanks so much for your reply - we have several rooms of wallpaper to remove.
