I had a strange call today. He was looking to change the timing to TDC on a 3.5hp vertical B&S engine so he could run it on Hydrogen. Anyone ever heard of doing this?

Never heard of it. You can change timing by removing the flywheel key and setting the flywheel wherever you want on the crankshaft, and then tighten the flywheel nut very tight, but there is no timing index to set it by.

Cheese, I told him the easiest thing is drill & tap a new mounting hole next to the existing hole for the coil.
