thanks for taking a look at this. took and old tiller motor (5hp b&s) sorry but no #'s to be found, got it running but one problem. when we first started it motor would only run with choke closed. it would idle and rev up good with the choke closed. kept tinkering with it and got it to run with choke open but i mean it wants to run (high rpm). i plan on replacing the diaphragm and spring but other than one screw on the side( which i asume adjusts the mixture) can't see any more opportunity to adjust. all suggestions are appreciated. lets have a good day and God bless america........

It sounds like you have a 130000 series briggs. If it is racing/overrevving, then there is a problem with the carburetor linkage from the governor arm to the carb, a problem with the governor spring, or a bad/misadjusted governor. Did you loosen the governor arm?

 is the govenor arm the linkage at the bottom of the motor? looks like it's mounted on a pin.

Yeah that's it. Don't loosen or move it.
