I bought used plantation shutters from the guy not too far away from my home to fit one of my windows that gets a LOT of sun. When i got it home i realized that I can make that one fit but the window next to it (it's two corner windows) will look really barren without the shutters. The guy I bought it from has another two sets that would fit my opening (i am doing them inside mount on the frame) but only if cut about 7" of the hight. I've never done deconstruct/reconstruct(ing) of the shutters or windows, so i am not sure if this is a job for Nebie :D
Is there way to easy cut them down to size? I'd hate to finish it up and then find out there is an easy nifty way of doing it :coffee:

None that I know of. I believe you will have to dis-assemble them, cut them to the correct height and re-assemble them.

Plantation shutters are a specialty. You have to attend special courses just to learn how to measure and install them. If it's even possible, I don't think it's a DIY job.
