We just installed a new gas water heater. Everything looks right but it's been more than an hour and there is no hot water coming out of the faucet yet. How long do you have to wait for hot water?

With a gas-fired water heater you should have hot water within fifteen minutes.

Want to tell us all the steps you went through in doing this job? Some pictures may also be helpful. You would need to post the pictures to a photo hosting site and then post the URLs of the pictures here.

Called the gas company again - turns out that on their first visit they missed the fact that the gas feed wasn't right. They installed a new meter late last night and now we have hot water. A frustrating experience. Anyway, thanks for offering to help. :)
