I am installing a hardwood floor in our kitchen and updating all the appliances. Yesterday, we realized that the new hardwoods will effectively trap the dishwasher in place. Does anybody have a solution on how to fix this problem? The flooring ripped out was vinyl flooring on a 1/4" piece of plywood/backing.

Pull the diswasher out, and adjust the height screws on the bottom of the machine. If adjusting these is not enough to clear the countertop, you will have to get creative.

What type of hardwood are you installing? The type/thickness of the hardwood flooring and installation application are needed in order to help you on this one as well as adjusting the screws on the bottom of the dishwasher.
