I'm planning on putting 12mm laminate for my floor. My question is if this is going to be too thick as I am putting electric floor heat under it? Would I be better off going with a little thinner one say 8 or 10mm for better heat or will I even notice a difference?

Not the pro around here but since no one responded yet...

Whatever brand/manufacturer you choose for your laminate wood flooring, check the specifications/instructions as to what they say about it. There should be some type of instruction regarding this. If it does not, give them a call and find out.
