Hello.
I really need som help for this, I have look and tried for help everywhere.
My Sherwood receiver from 2000 "burned off" a couple of months ago. It won't turn on, it just lights up and then click, standby again...
The Sherwood factory wrote after a check on it, that one of the transistors to the front outplug did not work. And that they did'nt produced it anymore. What can I do, where can I find transistors used or can I use another transistor???
The name of the transistor is:
SAP 08-Ny
or
SAP 08-Py
Hope there's someone who can help...

I'm guessing the part numbers are Sherwood's, not generic. A local repair shop may be able to figure it out and install a substitute.
Also, a transistor rarely burns by itself. Usually there are other parts that have failed. Installing a new transistor without checking for other damaged parts will cause the new transistor to fail.
