We have a 2.0 cu.ft. tank to raise our well water from about 6.3 to 7.5. CUNO limestone C-10P was used for the initial install in 10/07.
As the calcite level dropped, the pH came down to about 6.9 or 7.0. The dealer came by last week and added 50 lbs. of a product made by CAS or Specialty Minerals, Inc. I was not here. Bag said 1717-65-3.
pH is still at 7.0 a week later.
I have called dealer and will seek more info but in the meantime:
Do I need Corosex ?
What is the best product to raise pH ?
Any other thoughts ?
Thank you

If you can maintain 7.0 - 7.5, that would be OK. You should not need Corosex. Are you checkingyour pH wit test strips or a liquid solution?

I used liquid pool test kit and liquid aquarium pH test kit last week and used a local water testing lab yesterday for the 6.9 reading.
