We have a black leather and vinyl loveseat. The front panel of the cushions (that your legs rest against while sitting down) is vinyl and about 6 months ago it began to crack. The cracking got worse and big chunks of it fell off. We didn't really care at the time because we have two young children and we figured we'd just use it until it was dead and buy a new one. However, we are now planning to move overseas next year and we would like to sell the loveseat (it is part of a set with a 3-seat sofa). There is no way we can sell it for much in the condition that it is in. Is there some way that we could repair the missing vinyl part ourselves? I don't know if liquid leather would cover such a large area - it is about 18" by 2" on the one cushion and about 6" by 2" on the other. The cushions are fixed to the frame - they cannot be removed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I'm not really sure what you mean by panel or what chunks are falling off. Do you mean big pieces of vinyl or the insides are also deteriorating. It sounds like the entire cushion needs to be replaced or at the very least recovered. There's no way to just fix or repair vinyl or leather. It doesn't sound like a DIY job, unless you know how to recover furniture. Unless it was a very expensive loveseat, it may not be worth your while. Maybe just sell the sofa?
