I have drywall put up in a basement bathroom/laundry room that also has a closet. I know to tape the drywall to drywall seams on the walls and ceiling. My question is what to do for drywall to wood seams. The main header beam runs through this room, so the drywall ceiling butts up against it. Also, the closet is going to have cedar tongue and groove planking, so currently has plywood walls. What do I do where the plywood meets the drywall? Or do I leave this areas alone since they will be covered by trim?

Welcome to the forums!

A lot depends on how well it was cut and hung. If it is a nice tight even cut - you don't need to do anything but caulk or install a trim piece. If the gap is to wide or ragged for trim, you need to flat tape it - the edge of the tape gives you the clean edge.
