Hi all,
I'm not a drywaller. I know what's involved, but I also know that there are folks who do this stuff for a living, and they are very fast, and very good at what they do...

That being said, I've got a number of patches that I need done. I've got the "knockdown" style drywall, and matching that texture looks very difficult.

If I were to hire this work out, could the "expert" make it look right? It'd probably be best if I took pictures, and will do so if requested.....

The spots I want done include (I'll do all the painting):
- Removed big wall mirror that was glued (black stuff) to the wall, need adhesive removed and drywall refinished.
- A spot above the tile shower got sprayed by the shower head and bubbled up the texture + paint. It's down to the "blueboard". Need drywall refinished.
- Two spots where the house has settled and a crack where the "metal corner thing" has formed. Again, need drywall refinished.
- Someone patched a 10"x10" hole in the drywall at some point and didn't do a very good job, need it torn out and redone.

How much can I expect to pay for this.... roughly? Thanks!

-Steve

Most any competent drywall finisher can make a repair [including texture] that won't be seen once painted although knock down texture is one of the harder textures to match.

Wages can vary greatly in different areas. It is always best to get multiple quotes and check references.

Removing the adhesive from the mirror will likely be the most challenging aspect of this job. That glue can really be a bear to remove.

Are you sure you have blueboard in the bath rm? Blueboard is used under a plaster veneer. Greenboard is used in wet locations but IMO using a good enamel is more important than using greenboard.
