Have a 2002 GE LP water heater with a RobertShaw 220RLPTSP regulator in our summer house. It's shut down and drained every winter. This year for some reason I can't get the pilot to stay lit. I replaced the thermocouple with a new one and it still doesn't stay lit. I notice there is an over temp coupler that the T/C screws into that indicates it is a one-time breaker if the unit over heats. Nothing ever happened to have tripped that breaker last season and the pilot has always worked for the last several years. I am stumped and wondering if there is anyway to test this safety breaker or bypass it to prevent having to replace this whole regulator (Expensive!!)
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
