I have a 30 foot, 30 years old, Golden Maple that budded in April and then was hit by a late frost. The tree lost the green buds and looks dormant still, not a piece of growth anywhere, its a beautiful healthy tree normally. Does anyone think I should wait and see if it comes back next year or is it considered pretty "dead"??

Considering the age and size of the tree, waiting seems appropriate. For me, no leaves on June 1 means it is dead.
